Steven Guy, MPA
STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT ADVISOR
Based in Palm Springs, Steven Guy is a member of Facktor's Strategy & Growth division. Guy is an experienced nonprofit leader, with a record of advancing strategic growth and social impact for national and global organizations. His work has been dedicated to driving equitable and effective strategies for greater health access, with an emphasis on youth and vulnerable populations.
Guy began his nonprofit work in South Africa with mothers2mothers, expanding the strategic focus, resource development, and reach of their mission to end mother-to-child transmission of HIV. He was the Founding Executive Director for the award-winning Tyler Clementi Foundation, focused on preventing on- and off-line bullying for LGBTQ and vulnerable youth. He led educational partnerships to create the Tyler Clementi Center at Rutgers University and programming at Columbia University Teacher's College, while also championing student anti-harassment legislation. In 2015, Guy established the California headquarters for WE Charity, which engages youth in public service and educational platforms through 550 high schools. He was Interim Executive Director for GenEndIt, a youth initiative of UNAIDS, which brings together a coalition of global health partners to support the next generation of HIV awareness. Most recently, Guy was the Senior Director at the Men's Health Foundation, focused on clarifying brand and strategy to connect at-risk men with comprehensive care.
Before his start in the nonprofit world, Guy worked globally for MTV Networks, where he led communications, marketing, and sponsorship for MTV premiere productions including VMA and Cannes Film Festival events. He was the lead for MTV News’ Peabody Award-winning “Choose or Lose” Youth Voter Campaign.
Guy holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from NYU’s Wagner School of Public Service. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from UCLA and a postgraduate classical performance degree from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts.
