Patrick R. Bruce is a results-driven healthcare finance leader with over 20 years turning complex numbers into clear strategic wins. As Finance Director at Facktor Healthcare Consulting, he helps clients cut through the noise, optimize operations, and deliver real impact in a relentlessly evolving industry.

Patrick led financial operations as Senior Finance Manager for Healthcare Technology Management at Kaiser Permanente, overseeing a $250 million annual operating budget for the enterprise-wide Clinical Technology (HIT) program across eight regions. He streamlined reporting and processes, sophisticated budgeting, drove forecasting and FTE analysis, demanding month-end close schedules, and delivered ironclad compliance—while serving as finance lead on the COVID-19 procurement team that secured more than $450 million in critical equipment when it mattered most.

His M&A and strategic finance experience at Kaiser Permanente’s Enterprise Business Services includes finance wins for supporting critical deals like the $1.8B Group Health integration and Emory Health System joint partnership, delivering sharp modeling and integration strategies that powered confident C-suite decisions.He holds an M.S. in Financial Analysis from the University of San Francisco, a B.A. in Economics from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a Healthcare Analytics Certification from UC Davis.

Outside the office, Patrick is the proud father of two outstanding young men, Jack and Alec. He’s a dedicated distance runner, a regular at San Francisco farmer’s markets, and can usually be found sprawled on his settee with an eclectic book.
