David Selig, MHA, PT

SENIOR ADVISOR

David Selig joined Facktor in 2019 as a Senior Advisor with Facktor’s Strategy & Growth division. Selig is focused on governance, Board and Executive Leadership development, and strategic agenda setting. Selig has over 33 years of experience in integrated healthcare delivery systems, large-scale health information technology acquisitions and deployment, organizational and Board of Directors development, Board governance, community health, and managed care. He has worked as a hospital executive, a large group practice administrator, and a licensed physical therapist.

Between 1997 and 2012, Selig served as the founding Chief Executive Officer of Community Care Network of Virginia (CCNV). CCNV is Virginia’s statewide community health center-owned and governed network of over 450 providers. Along with its subsidiary and Virginia’s statewide shared health information technology corporation, ComCare, LLC, these providers deliver care in 120 Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) locations across the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Selig has been responsible for a variety of small- and large-scale health information technology initiatives made possible through successful grant and development effort. This included leading the implementation and operation of a statewide FQHC practice management system in 1999 and the acquisition, implementation, and deployment of a statewide FQHC electronic health record system in 2007.

Selig is an experienced grant reviewer for the Health Resources and Services Administration, provides training and technical assistance, and conducts Health Center Program Compliance Visits in the role of Team Lead. He is a former appointee to the Commonwealth of Virginia Governor’s Health Information Technology Advisory Commission and has served on a variety of Boards of Directors including that of Beth Sholom Rehabilitation Clinic.

Selig received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and a Master of Health Services Administration from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University.
